RECTOR’S VISIT TO KOREA AND JAPAN (The Comparative Study of Indonesian Delegation under Program Academic Recharging – A (PAR – A)  from the Ministry of National Education Department)

From 28 November – 7 December 2009, the Indonesian delegation under PAR – A Program of the Ministry of National Department visited Korea and Japan for conducting a comparative study. The delegation members were the rectors of reputable universities under the jurisdiction of Private University Coordinator  (KOPERTIS) area II, V, VI, and VII in Indonesia. Among hundreds of  universitiesand one of them is Leenawaty Limantara, Ph.D, Ma Chung University Rector.

The itinerary benchmarking study started from Jakarta then to Seoul, South Korea. Some universities visited were Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Yongin campus), Chung – Ang University, and INHA University. Some MOU had been made between universities and this makes the visit very fruitful for both parties.

After spending some time in Korea, the delegation flew to Toyohashi Japan to visit Toyohashi University of Technology. From Toyohashi, the fast train (shinkansen) brought them to Tokyo. In that city, the delegation paid a visit to Soka University. And the last day, all members of delegation went back to their city of origin bringing fruitful experiences that can be considered from the improvement of their own universities including Ma Chung University.
