Character building is a primary requirement for our students as a potential academic group of our university community. It becomes the objective of the university as a successful achievement in our educational system. Students are actively involved in all activities and must be able to work together with others. The university student council (Lembaga Kemahasiswaan) is the body to manage all student activities.

The student council is the realization of students aspiration at university and departmental levels. The council has two bodies at university level, they are Student Representative Council (BPMU) and Student Executive Council (BEMU). The members of BPMU are elected democratically by all students of the university and its tasks are accommodating all students’ aspiration of all activities in the university. The outline of its task is controlling, budgeting, legislation, representation, recruitment and advocating. BEMU is the body which consists of members elected by the BPMU. This body has the responsibility of keeping all students’ activities running well and controls the Student Activity Units and Scientific Forum and all ad hoc activities. All extra-curricular activities are expected to run well and could reach their target.

The Student Council is also expected to become agent of development and the leader of university and national development. With a good achievement in character building the vision and mission of the university can be realized as a true contribution to society. Notwithstanding the fact that we are a young university, we believe we can provide the best for society and learn more to achieve better.
