Prof. Li Shengbing from South China Normal University, Guangzhou, China, presented his topic on the importance of learning Chinese Language in this era of globalization. He explained that globalization has influenced all aspects in the world’s social aspects that this world has become “the global village with global citizen”.

Further on, Prof Li explained why it is important to learn Chinese language as China is growing very fast and becomes a powerful country in the world’s  economy after The U.S, Japan, and Germany. This has attracted other countries to pay more attention to China. Other reasons that make China with its language very important is that more than 1.4 million of the world’s population speak Chinese and Chinese people dominate almost one-fifth of the population and can be more in the future.
